Mother and Daughter Interview
HAS FASHION INSPIRED YOU TO BE WHAT YOU ARE TODAY PROFESSIONALLY?
I have had a great connection with fashion since I was little thanks to you! I remember watching you get dressed and get ready and you were happy while you did it! 30 years later, fashion continues to inspire me every day. My work has moved in that direction and I believe that fashion is able to show our personality, our tastes and our lifestyle.
HOW DID YOU DEAL WITH FASHION AND YOUR WORK DURING QUARANTINE? WHAT HAS CHANGED IN YOUR WORK?
My routine has changed completely, so my work and style have also had to adapt to the new moment. Before quarantine my routine was very intense, full of meetings, office meetings, events and trips. With quarantine my work became 100% smart working from home, but I continued to get ready and dress well, because I was constantly having meetings via Zoom and FaceTime every day. High heels, however, have been replaced by flat shoes that have dominated my quarantine.
DO YOU THINK YOU HAVE CHANGED AFTER THE MONTHS OF ISOLATION?
For sure! Quarantine made me think a lot! I thought a lot, I put some projects into practice and reviewed some ideas. I am definitely very different!!
WHAT KIND OF SHOES CAN'T BE MISSING IN YOUR WARDROBE?
I love shoes! I think they really make the difference in a look. I am so passionate about shoes that I often start thinking about the look after choosing the shoe! My closet must have feminine, delicate and comfortable shoes! And many of them are Aquazzura, which I love!
HIGH HEELS, FLAT HEELS OR PLATFORMS?
High heels for sure! I think heels make a woman super feminine and elegant! Also, since I'm not tall, I use heels to gain a few inches! I love them and wear them every day!
WHAT WERE YOUR MAIN FASHION INSPIRATIONS?
Since I was a child I already liked to create clothes for my dolls. I have always liked fashion. My mother was my first inspiration. Immediately after, Audrey Hepburn and Catherine Deneuve.
WHAT IS THE MOST ICONIC PIECE OF YOUR WARDROBE, THE ONE YOU WILL LEAVE ME AS A GIFT?
A black Chanel dress, which is truly iconic.
WHAT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT REFLECTION YOU HAVE DRAWN FROM THIS QUARANTINE?
Love and faith are and will always be the most important things. And that hope, generosity and empathy must be the pillars of our lives; that patience, gratitude and resilience are precious gifts; that we are less than we think, that friendship is fundamental, that the encounter with myself was pleasant, that sadness is part of life, just as happiness is given by being together.
A BOOK THAT HAS MARKED YOUR LIFE AND WHY?
One Hundred Years of Solitude, by Gabriel Garcia Marques, because at 18 I learned that creativity has no limits. With Gabo I learned what fantastic surrealism is and to love literature even more, I have always loved reading, after him I became an avid reader.
SHOES ARE AN OBJECT OF DESIRE... WHICH MODEL CANNOT BE MISSING IN YOUR CLOSET?
I am crazy about shoes. I always experiment with different styles. I think my two favorites today are the pumps, one with a pointed toe, a thin 85 stiletto heel, very comfortable, as well as a pair of gold Aquazzura pumps with a black toe, which I will continue to use until I can't anymore! And also beautiful flat shoes like the new Papillon by Aquazzura. Shoes must be comfortable, but feminine and beautiful!!
