Luisa Beccaria represents the contemporary woman who has not given up on her dream, between poetry, art and nature. Already at the beginning, the Luisa Beccaria style is outlined in the freshness of the garments presented in art galleries and scenic gardens, to arrive on the haute couture catwalks of Paris, up to the prêt-à-porter line that has also conquered the stars of Hollywood. Today, mother of five children, and wife of the Sicilian nobleman Lucio Bonaccorsi di Reburdone, she has created an authentic example of style in Italian fashion. Pastel colors, floral prints, brocade textures and impalpable fabrics, create romantic and sensual dresses, with an ethereal and timeless elegance. Lucilla, who shares with her mother the passion in the search for beauty and harmony, began working as a co-designer in 2006 bringing her contemporary vision to the maison. Here mother and daughter tell their story by talking about family, love for nature, beauty and the art of entertaining.

HOW WONDERFUL IT IS TO BE TOGETHER AGAIN AND BE ABLE TO SEE EACH OTHER EVERY DAY… WHAT EFFECT DID THIS PHYSICAL DISTANCE SO NEW FOR US HAVE ON YOU?
Luisa:
It's an experience I had never lived nor would I have ever thought I would live. The impossibility of seeing you and all your brothers while I was stuck in Sicily by chance, luckily with dad. I missed you a lot. Even though we spoke so often.
Lucilla:
Mami, everything we have cannot be taken for granted, I have learned to appreciate even more the time we dedicate to each other. Affection, however, always survives distance.

DO YOU FEEL LIKE YOU NEED THE ELEMENTS EVEN MORE IN THIS PERIOD?
Luisa:
I really think so. For me, being in nature has been and is an inexhaustible source of energy, beauty and inspiration.
Lucilla:
During this period I have been lucky enough to be in close contact with the elements. It has been truly regenerating.

WHAT MAKES YOU FEEL FULFILLED? IS IT TRUE THAT BEAUTY WILL SAVE THE WORLD?
Luisa:
The search for beauty and harmony has always been a source of great happiness for me. I believe in the healing power of beauty. As the Greeks said “Kalos kai agathos”.
Lucilla:
Being part of such a large and united family makes me feel truly fulfilled and strong. Beauty is a tension towards the absolute.

IN THIS TIME WHEN SOCIAL LIFE IS ALMOST SUSPENDED, WHAT ARE THE BIGGEST CHANGES IN YOUR WAY OF DRESSING? FOR SHOES FOR EXAMPLE?
Luisa:
Love, as you know, I have almost always been in the countryside. I wore rather comfortable shoes that allowed me to go on long walks. As you can imagine, I have not converted to sneakers :) except for sports activities.
Lucilla:
Mami, I also chose more comfortable clothing, alternating it with more feminine and creative looks from our brand. I preferred mostly low shoes.

WHAT DO YOU SAY, SHOULD WE START ORGANIZING INTIMATE MEETINGS BETWEEN US IN A MORE ELEGANT AND FORMAL WAY AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK TO DO A "STYLE EXERCISE"? AND EXERCISE THAT "ART OF RECEIVING" THAT IS SO DEAR TO US? SHOULD WE PUT ON HEELS?
Luisa:
I have to say that I really want to! But will I still be able to walk in heels? Yes, let's get dressed and toast to life!
Lucilla:
I have my new gold Aquazzura heels that I can't wait to wear!! They are perfect with the floral dress we just created.
